Frequently Asked Questions

High-quality service, for high quality clients. No Games. No Gimmicks

What's the cost?

Paradox pricing varies based on the quality of the experience you are seeking, the demand of the individual DJ, and the type of event you are hosting. For each type of event we offer 3 price tiers for talent; “Rising Star,” “Raving Fans,” and “Company Owner.”“Talent” is based on DJ skill, social charisma and proven results. That said, Paradox DJs are hand picked as the best in the business, and thus every team member is of the highest quality within the modern DJ industry.

WEDDINGS:

Paradox Productions offers a peace of mind solution for your audio and entertainment needs. Wedding DJ investment starts at $2,000 for everything you need, including MC/DJ, multiple sound systems (as required), and no time limit. That’s right, we will rock the party until you tell us to go home!  Average client investment for DJ/MC is $3,000, mostly determined by the talent tier we recommend, based on your vision.

EVENTS:

Paradox Productions offers corporate DJ services to select Profile Partners as well as private celebrations for individual clients. Corporate clients usually invest $2,500 – $3,500, while private parties start at $1,000.

Why are other DJs cheaper?

While Paradox is likely not the least expensive option amid an ocean of DJs, we are possibly the most cost effective and value driven DJ experience available for private events in the Pacific Northwest.

Our price is not set by what others may or may not be charging. It is determined by balancing premium talent, state-of-the-art equipment, responsive customer service and sharp professional etiquette, with consumer demand and sustainable objectives.

While the value of working with Paradox is heavily weighted toward talent and less on raw commodity materials, some team members have invested over $100,000 into the equipment that will be provided at your event. This is not a flex, but an assurance that we are dedicated to providing a high quality audio-visual experience.

Essentially, our price is the minimum required for us to fulfill our customer promise of only giving our best work.

Which DJ will we work with?

Part of the Paradox onboarding process is to have a conversation with company owner Justin Babbitt. Based on your personality, music preferences and overall vision, we will determine which talent tier is the best solution. Of course if you already know who you want to work with, you are welcome to select. After booking, you will work directly with your performing DJ to plan the music, vibe and flow of your event.

Who picks the music?

Being that we refer to our clients as “creative partners” our preference is to collaborate with you, and curate a personalized evergreen musical soundtrack that will enrich the event experience and have a lifelong joyful impact.

You’re welcome to give us a general idea of what you like and we can do the rest, or you can have full control, selecting each song for the multiple “scenes” throughout your event. You will get personal access to our FANTASTIC music APP to input all of your song selections. Check THIS VIDEO.

SONG REQUESTS: We look at your friends and family like VIPs, because they are. Therefore, song requests are welcome, as long as it fits within the musical vision and perimeters you’ve given us. Regardless, your loved ones will walk away from the DJ booth feeling both heard and valued.

We also welcome a do-not-play list, but rest assured our overall style and vibe is a modern-edge, with high class and a touch of ratchet. Frankly speaking, we’re not your grandma’s wedding DJ, however we want to cater the music to all of your guests, including grandma. We will read the room and watch the demographic shift as the party progresses into the night. We’re happy to “go-hard” when the coast is clear. HERE is a fairly generic playlist we consider to work well for most wedding environments, but we are NOT limited to this.

How often do we meet?

Our process includes an initial meeting and at least one creative planning meeting to go over all the timeline, music and logistical details before your wedding (once your online wedding planner is complete). That said, we are available to you throughout the entire planning process. We strive to be easy to reach and highly responsive. We arrive approximately 2.5 – 3 hours prior to the start of your wedding, which allows enough time to walk the space and design a custom audio layout, even if we’ve not been to the venue prior.

Will our DJ also MC?

Absolutely. This valuable skill influences the overall quality of an event; I.E. seamless, smooth & comfortable transitions. We are well spoken professional presenters who will guide your guests through the events of the evening. We are not stand up comedians, but we are not shy. We will create a warm, informative presentation that will serve as the ‘glue’ to your wedding. Think of us like a ‘timeline manager’ who will make sure that everyone knows where to be and when to be there.

This “ingredient” is unique to each talent and is largely what determines the investment tier our DJs are offered in.

Life happens. We do our best to treat every client the way we would want to be treated. COVID-19 Policy:

1. COVID-19 is a known and evolving epidemic that has/could affect travel and events worldwide, with continued spread and impacts expected. Cancellation due to known, foreseeable, or expected events are not covered under force majeure clause. However, we are currently accommodating event postponement if a principle client becomes ill with COVID-19.

2. Should government mandates preventing social gatherings within 60 days of event date, that were not in place on the date of booking, all payments will transfer to the new date if client consults the company and DJ prior to selecting a new date.

*Additional terms and/or fees may apply and will be detailed in the agreement prior to payments and/or commitment.
