While Paradox is likely not the least expensive option amid an ocean of DJs, we are possibly the most cost effective and value driven DJ experience available for private events in the Pacific Northwest.

Our price is not set by what others may or may not be charging. It is determined by balancing premium talent, state-of-the-art equipment, responsive customer service and sharp professional etiquette, with consumer demand and sustainable objectives.

While the value of working with Paradox is heavily weighted toward talent and less on raw commodity materials, some team members have invested over $100,000 into the equipment that will be provided at your event. This is not a flex, but an assurance that we are dedicated to providing a high quality audio-visual experience.

Essentially, our price is the minimum required for us to fulfill our customer promise of only giving our best work.

Part of the Paradox onboarding process is to have a conversation with company owner Justin Babbitt and/or office manager and DJ Zacch Williams. Based on your personality, music preferences and overall vision, we will determine which talent tier is the best solution. Of course if you already know who you want to work with, you are welcome to select. After booking, you will work directly with your performing DJ to plan the music, vibe and flow of your event.

Being that we refer to our clients as “creative partners” our preference is to collaborate with you, and curate a personalized evergreen musical soundtrack that will live forever. You’re welcome to give us a general idea of what you like, or you can create a specific playlist on your favorite streaming service. We use a comprehensive online wedding and music planner that you can see an overview of HERE.

SONG REQUESTS: We look at your friends and family like VIPs, because they are. Therefore, song requests are welcome, as long as it fits within the musical vision and perimeters you’ve given us. Regardless, your loved ones will walk away from the DJ booth feeling both heard and valued.

We also welcome a do-not-play list, but rest assured our overall style and vibe is a modern-edge, with high class and a touch of ratchet. Generally speaking, we’re not your grandma’s wedding DJ, however we want to cater the music to all of your guests, including grandma. We will read the room and watch the demographic shift as the party progresses into the night. We’re happy to “go-hard” when the coast is clear. HERE is a fairly generic playlist we consider to work well for most wedding environments, but we are NOT limited to this.

Our process includes an initial meeting and at least one creative planning meeting to go over all the timeline, music and logistical details before your wedding (once your online wedding planner is complete). That said, we are available to you throughout the entire planning process. We strive to be easy to reach and highly responsive.

We arrive approximately 2.5 – 3 hours prior to the start of your wedding, which allows enough time to walk the space and design a custom audio layout, even if we’ve not been to the venue prior. For clients working with company owner, Justin Babbitt, he will accommodate a venue walkthrough and/or rehearsal if logistically feasible and available.

Absolutely. Frankly, this is often the ingredient that determines the overall quality of an event; seamless, smooth & comfortable transitions. We are well spoken professional presenters who will guide your guests through the events of the evening. We are not stand up comedians, but we are not shy. We will create a warm, informative presentation that will serve as the ‘glue’ to your wedding. Think of us like a ‘timeline manager’ who will make sure that everyone knows where to be and when to be there.

Paradox Productions has invested heavily in state-of-the-art audio, visual and lighting equipment, but the reality is that you can get ‘gear’ anywhere. Our investment options are talent (rather than commodity) based. Since we don’t charge according to number of hours or pieces of equipment, investment is a flat rate. The production piece covers whatever the DJ needs to execute the optimal sound scape for the venue, layout, crowd size, timeline, etc.

Our most common sound + lighting production includes:

  • Dedicated Ceremony Sound System
  • Ceremony Lapel Microphone(s)
  • Dedicated Reception Sound System
  • Reception Wireless Microphone(s)
  • A ‘Splash’ of Dance Lighting

Other enhancement options include:

– Additional Speakers

– Uplighting

– Photo booths

– Dancing on a Cloud

– Co2 Cloud Cannon

– Monogram / Gobo

– Projection

– Concert Style Intelligent Lighting
